Shoji Panels are based on the Japanese Shoji Screens in appearance, but fixed at the top to a track with sliders to open & close.

Traditional Shoji Screens are often very expensive, however when the screens are made to fit a Panel Blind system, the cost in manufacture is greatly reduced. As you can see from our Shoji Screens portfolio below, the effect is stunning. The video shows electrically operated Shoji Panels as well as hand operated blinds.

Shoji Panels are created using Obeche timber trims for the vertical & horizontal frames. Several tones of wood are available plus colours to suit your decor. A fabric such as  ‘Screen Tex’ is ideal-it’s similar to Japanese ‘Washi’ paper but much stronger! These panels are ideal as room dividers and windows.
